Royal School Armagh Takes Madlug Backpacks on an Unforgettable Journey to India

Last year, we were delighted to support Royal School Armagh as they prepared for an incredible school trip to India. The group ordered 32 of our Blue Classic backpacks, each one  for participants so that bags wouldn’t get mixed up along the way.

Hannah Logan, a teacher at the school, got in touch with us to organise the order. We custom made the backpacks and arranged delivery within a few weeks.

Adding an extra personal touch, the bags were hand delivered by our very own Chris Lowry (social impact coordinator) who also happens to be a past pupil of Royal School Armagh!

For the students, the trip itself was nothing short of life-changing. Hannah shared just how impactful the two weeks in India were for the group:

“It was amazing! We just got back on Friday and we're back in school today so we are still recovering a little bit but it was an incredible experience!”

“We had a fantastic two weeks in New Delhi working with ASHA, a charity that works in over 100 slums in New Delhi, providing essential medical care, treatment and education to the people living in these communities. We worked with children, university students and women through English lessons and crafts. It was a truly eye-opening experience that will stay with us forever!”

Alongside their volunteering, the group also had the chance to explore some of India’s most iconic landmarks, including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and India Gate, as well as vibrant local markets.

From airports to historic sites, and even in the heart of New Delhi’s slums, the Madlug backpacks proved to be the perfect companion.

Hannah shared her thoughts on how well the bags performed throughout the journey:

“The Madlug bags were amazing - bright, reliable and perfect for everything we needed! From bustling airports to the Taj Mahal, and even in the heart of New Delhi’s slums, those bags were with us every step of the way! Even after all of that they are still somehow in brilliant condition!”

We love hearing stories like this, not only about the durability of Madlug backpacks, but about the adventures and positive impact they help support.

The process was simple:

  1. Choose bag and quantity
  2. Specify co-branding
  3. Receive bags and wear with pride knowing that children in care are able to move with dignity

We’re so grateful to Hannah and the team at Royal School Armagh for choosing Madlug for their trip, and for taking our bags on such a wonderful journey.

Every bag purchased helps ensure that children in care can move with dignity, and it’s inspiring to see our mission carried across the world in this way.

We can’t wait to support more schools, groups, and communities on their own adventures ahead.
