Celebrating a decade of difference
10 years ago we sold our very first Madlug bag.
We had one simple goal: no child should carry their life in a bin bag. Because of you, our Madluggers - that single idea has now given over 130,000 pack-away travel bags to incredible children and young people in care.
Every purchase. Every subscriber. Every post shared. Every conversation that started with “Do you know what Madlug does?” that’s how we got here.

Where we stand today
10 years of Madlug
130,000 children in care given the gift of dignity
1,800 children a year supported though our subscription service
But the need is still heartbreakingly bigger than us:
A child enters the care system roughly every fifteen minutes, that’s almost 100 children a day.
With our current number of monthly gift-a-bag subscribers we are only supporting 5% of the total number of children moving into care each year. If we want to end the use of bin bags altogether, we need to do more.
That reality is why we’re marking our 10th birthday with a challenge.
