Sales Support Administrator | Job Description
Most children and young people in care have their belongings moved in black bin bags. Madlug is an award-winning brand that stands for Make A Difference Luggage. With every bag purchased, a pack-away travel bag goes to a child in care. The Sales Support Administrator position is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency of our sales operations. We seek someone equipped with the appropriate expertise, skills, dedication to customer service, and commercial insight to support our inbound and outbound sales as we move into an exciting season of growth.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day sales enquiries, orders, invoicing and payments
- Provide administrative sales support, including scheduling meetings and preparing documents such as proposals/quotations and contracts, and processing sales orders.
- Provide excellent customer service, including responding promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, communicating with customers to ensure successful order completion and resolving issues effectively.
- Maintain and manage the CRM sales database, ensuring all data and records are up to date and correct.
- Analyse monthly sales and quantify the following month’s sales projections, identifying areas for improvement. Generate reports on sales activities, trends, and performance metrics for management review.
- Coordinate with the sales and operations teams, to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Assist in organising and attending sales events, conferences, and trade shows as needed.
- Stay informed about Madlug’s products, service and industry trends to provide knowledgeable support to customers and staff.
- You may be required to do other ad-hoc duties and administration tasks assigned by the senior leadership as required.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a sales support administrator, sales coordinator, or similar role with a minimum of 2 years experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Proficiency in CRM Software such as Hubspot or equivalent, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with XERO accounting software
Skills:
- IT proficiency
- Proficiency in numerical skills
- Knowledge and understanding of e-commerce platforms
- Commercial insight and awareness
- Full clean driving licence

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise skills effectively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion and understanding of the mission of the Madlug Movement
Desirable
- Experience, interest or knowledge of the care system for children and young people in care.
Salary: Circa £23,000 - £25,000 per annum (Pro Rata)
